Identifying Barriers to the Use of Active Management of the Third Stage of Labor (AMTSL) by Providers through Behavior Change: A Set of Tools and Training Materials
A set of simple qualitative research tools has been developed to help program planners better understand the attitudinal factors, barriers, and resistances to improved practice of AMTSL among both individual providers and obstetric teams. The tools also elicit information from a provider perspective on motivational factors, incentives, and barriers to AMTSL use.
